Wet weather will linger across the state Thursday as snow levels fall to the Benches. However, most of the accumulation will be found above 8,000 feet. The add salt into the wound, a strong cold front will shift from north to south along the Wasatch Front, helping to kick up wind gusts over 50-60 mph later Thursday and Thursday night. The wind will blow perpendicular to I-15 and parts of I-84, so caution is advised, especially for high-profile vehicles. This front will stall over the southern part of the state, allowing for additional rain and snow at times Friday into the weekend. While a rain/snow shower may return to parts of the Wasatch Front this weekend, most of the time will be dry. High school football playoff games will not be impacted by wet weather this Friday. Look for brighter, mild weather statewide early next week. Enjoy!
