PARK CITY, Utah (ABC4 Utah) It is the mad dash that kicks off the holiday shopping season: Black Friday, which now blends into Thanksgiving.

“It's so exciting to see everyone come out after they've eaten turkey, taken a nap, they come out and shop all night,” said Candice Wilson, General Manager of Tanger Outlets in Park City. “It's kind of becoming one of those things people are expecting. They want to get out there and get the best deals they can, get started on the holiday season.”

The Tanger Outlets are opening Thanksgiving day at 10pm, with a new set of discounts starting at 3a.m.

Several big name stores are opening Thanksgiving day as well. Shopko, Staples, Kohls, and Office Max will all open their doors at 8p.m. Walmart is opening at 6p.m. and Toys “R” Us at 5 p.m.

The National Retail Federation says 140 million Americans will be taking advantage of Black Friday deals.
