Over 300 community members from different ethnic and economic backgrounds will join Comunidades Unidas/Communities United in its fourth-annual "Pink Dress" Fashion Show on October 25 to celebrate the end of breast cancer awareness month.
The purpose of this event is to raise awareness in the community around breast cancer prevention.
Utah has one of the lowest mammogram rates in the nation, with the rates much lower among our ethnically-diverse communities.
Communities United's Breast Cancer Program educates women about early prevention of breast cancer and facilitates access to free and low-cost screenings by providing case management, interpretation, transportation, and childcare.
