According to preliminary information from the Utah Avalanche Center, the man was snowmobiling with two others when the slide occurred. The man was off his sled at the time and tried to run for some trees, but he quickly became buried, according to the Avalanche Center's report.
The man had no beacon, but his father and another rider were able to dig him out after spotting his red gloves. He had to be resuscitated but apparently had no significant injuries according to the Avalanche Center. The man's sled also was buried.
The three came off the mountain on two sleds and took the man to the hospital, where he was released and returned home.
