Nadia started her journalism career at Syracuse University where she held various positions on campus stations and newspapers before graduating. She spent the last three months of her collegiate career, starting her professional career working as part time reporter at WSYR News Channel 9. Her first taste of journalism sent her all over Central New York covering snowmobile fatal accidents, union disputes, and snow, snow, snow.
She most recently worked at KCRG TV9 News in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where she spent three years waking up bright and early to deliver the weekend morning news. Nadia fell in love with the people of Eastern Iowa. She learned the true meaning of community as people banded together to protect their homes and businesses from rising flood waters, put together fundraisers and benefits for people struggling to survive, and don’t forget the Hawkeye fever.
Before that, Nadia worked at WSJV in South Bend, IN as a lead weeknight reporter.
Nadia spent a semester studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. While abroad, she traveled Europe and Northern Africa experiencing and learning about cultures different from her own. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with bachelor degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish from Syracuse University in May 2008.
A native of Chicago, Nadia’s excited to call Utah home as she tries her hand at hiking, skiing, and all outdoor activities.
