MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- A fist fight that turned into a stabbing at a Midvale apartment complex sent the victim and the suspect to the hospital Sunday night.

Unified Police continue to investigate the incident Sunday night and no arrests have been made, according to Lt. Justin Hoyal.

Hoyal said the incident began at an apartment located at 7883 S. Main St. in Midvale when two men got into a fistfight. One of the men, who was injured in the altercation, went out to his car and returned to the apartment with a knife. The man allegedly stabbed the other, Hoyal said.

By the time police arrived on scene, both men had fled. But it wasn't long until the two had shown up at different hospitals with their injuries. Hoyal said the stabbing victim went to a Midvale clinic and was then transported via ambulance to University Hospital. The suspect showed up with his own injuries at the Pioneer Valley Hospital. Both men are expected to recover from their injures, Hoyal said.

Detectives are still questioning the men Sunday night and no arrests have been made.
