Kylie joins ABC4 from Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she forecasted for everywhere from Montana to Wyoming to Utah and everywhere in between! While in Idaho Falls, Kylie spent much of her time as the morning anchor for KIFI Local News 8. While she loved being at the desk, she quickly learned she missed the excitement and challenge that comes with forecasting. She’s now pursuing her meteorology degree online with Mississippi State University.
As a reporter Kylie has covered devastating fires and flooding, but found her niche on the “health beat.” Her series on Idaho children at Primary Childrens helped raise more than $250,000 dollars at the 2013 Telethon. She also helped a young boy’s dream to meet Ellen DeGeneres a reality. A producer saw her story on Tayt Andersen, who was born without the left side of his heart, and brought him on the Ellen Show to meet his “girlfriend.”
Kylie graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder and will be passionately cheering against the Utes! (Sorry – but Go Buffs!) While in school, Kylie interned at KUSA 9News in Denver, Warren Miller Entertainment, & the International Journalism Festival in Perugia, Italy.
Kylie has lived all across the country – Minnesota, Illinois, New York, Arizona, Colorado & Idaho – and she couldn’t be more excited to make Utah her home and explore everything this gorgeous state has to offer.
