SALT LAKE CITY, Utah (ABC4 - Utah) Caught geographically between Colorado and Washington, which team will get Utahn's cheers on Sunday?
Based on our very unscientific polling on the streets of Salt Lake City and on Facebook, Bronco pride has rolled over the Rocky Mountains.
ABC4's Dana Greene said there is an easy explanation.
"Fans in Utah have been force fed bronco games since they started putting them on TV, because we're the closest market to Denver," said Greene.
Greene said there are a couple of local ties that could sway some cheers.
“Keep your eye on Seattle linebacker Bobby Wagner,” said Greene. “He is their leading tackler; he is a beast on the field. [It is] only his second year out of Utah state. Zane Beadles is an offensive lineman for the broncos - he'll play a big part. Pat McQuistan [is an] offensive lineman for the Seattle Seahawks. Dark horse is Robin Turbin, back up running back for Seattle. He is a former aggie and could, could play a big role if something happens to Marshawn Lynch.”
