There is still time to grow your own vegetables.  There are jalapenos, tomatoes, melons, cucumbers and many more varieties in the greenhouse right now.  Some of them already have veggies growing on them.

Also, now is the time to plant colorful shrubs. LaRene suggests putting golds, greens and blues together.

Millcreek Gardens recommends planting a tree with your dad for Father's Day.  They have a new shipment of Rainbow Japanese Rainbow available now! There are also other varieties of trees including Maples and Flowering Idaho Locust.

There are also perennials that will bloom all summer.

LaRene suggests letting Lady Bugs take care of unwanted pests in your garden.  Millcreek Gardens has bags filled with 1,500 Lady Bugs that you can release.

If you have a question for LaRene go to Millcreek Garden's Facebook Page.  Every week one question is chosen to answer on Good Things Utah.  If your question is chosen, you'll win a gift certificate to Millcreek Gardens.

Millcreek Gardens is located at 3500 South 900 East in Salt Lake City.  (801) 487-4131.
