WANSHIP, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- Health officials in Summit County are investigating a water contamination issue affecting homes in the town of Wanship.

Summit County Health Department spokeswoman Katie Mullaly confirmed that a boil order was issued after an E. Coli contamination affecting about 60 homes was discovered earlier Monday in the supply of Wanship Mutual Water Company. Environmental health officials tested the water supply and confirmed the bacterial contamination.

Officials were unable to confirm Tuesday evening whether the contamination had anything to do with recent flooding in the area, but they expected more details by Wednesday afternoon.
