Black Friday sends shoppers on a frenzy

MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - The black Friday frenzy is in full swing. Many stores around town opened their doors on Thanksgiving Day, while others opened at midnight.

MIDVALE, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)- The black Friday frenzy is in full swing. Many stores around town opened their doors on Thanksgiving Day, while others opened at midnight.

It was a dash for deals as thousands busted through the doors at Fashion Place and Southtown Mall looking for the hottest black Friday bargains.

"Its kind of a family tradition,” Black Friday has become a yearly tradition for Susan Edwards and her two daughters, who compete against countless others all on a mission for the best prices. Meanwhile, just around the corner from Southtowne shoppers at Target score major savings.

"I bought a $150.00 worth of movies, said Amy Edward's, a Draper resident. "We got 4 TV’s,” said Jenny Rasmussen a first time black Friday shopper.

Rasmussen says she has saved hundreds of dollars and plans to complete the majority of her Christmas shopping before black Friday winds down.

"We got some girls clothes, some dance clothes and we’re going to shop until we drop," said Rasmusen.

At Toys-R-Us in Murray, door buster deals- kept 2 a.m. shoppers roaming the aisles picking up items like Playmobil, a hot find rarely on sale.

"It was a good deal it was worth it, worth it to stay up, said Lindsey Stone,” a black Friday shopper.
