An elderly woman found dead inside a Murray home Saturday morning

MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) -- An elderly woman was found dead in a Murray home this morning and police are calling it “suspicious”

MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - The Murray City Police Department received a preliminary autopsy report from the Office of the Medical Examiner; the report indicates the victim died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head.

The person of interest is still outstanding and has not been identified.



MURRAY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah)- An elderly woman was found dead in a Murray home this morning and police are calling it “suspicious”.

Around 6 a.m. a man fled from a UTA officer during a routine traffic stop. The officer looked up the vehicles plates and was able to locate a home address connected to the vehicles registration at 20 E Winchester (6400 South) in Murray.

Murray Police Officer Kenny Bass said upon arrival responding officers did not see the vehicle at the home but could “smell smoke coming from the house and dispatched Murray Fire.”

Once inside the home, Officer Bass said crews found the elderly woman’s body with “suspicious injuries”.

Police are still seeking the driver of the car for questioning and the incident is currently under investigation.
