WEST VALLEY CITY, UTAH (ABC 4 UTAH)- After and early Sunday morning assault, West Valley City Police need your help to find the suspect. Police say a man followed a woman into a Burger King bathroom and sexually assaulted her. It happened at the restaurant on 3500 S and 5600 W.
Police have surveillance video of the suspect and have received some leads, but still haven't found the man. And that's why self-defense instructors say you should happens again. And next time it could be you.
"Physically overwhelmed her and was able to take her down to the ground," said West Valley City Police Sgt. Jason Hauer.
It's a scary incident in a public place; something that could happen to anyone at any time.
"It doesn't matter your age or your gender actually. Anybody can become a target," said Grand Master Penelope Bolega.
These kids at East West Martial Arts are learning how to not be a victim. Kids to adults can learn important moves to protect yourself and take back control.
"You have to use elbows, head butts, kicking to the legs and the shins," said Grand Master Joseph Bolega.
While its unlikely s petite woman can fight off a 300lbs man, Grand Master Joseph Bolega says she can do enough to create space and get away.
"Most of the time, the best technique is to turn around as fast as possible Pull out of this and turn on a person and try to control them from the back," said Bolega.

Again, the suspect is white or Hispanic male, about 5'10 to 6' tall, about 180-200lbs. His face is likely bruised and covered in scratched from his victim.
