Kyle Beckerman, Nick Rimando and Tony Beltran are all back with Real Salt Lake after missing the last four games to play in the Gold Cup with the U.S. Men's National Team.
"It feels great to be back," said Beckerman. "I missed these guys, so now we'll get back to it and I'm excited about it."
RSL went 2-2 without its three MLS all-stars, but are still in good shape headed into Saturday's game at Colorado.
"To leave the team is always bittersweet," said Rimando, who was in goal in the Gold Cup clinching victory against Panama. "The one good thing is we left when we were in first place, and we're coming back when we're in first place. So, hopefully we can continue where we left off."
"I think we have a deep team and we did well," added Beckerman. "If it wasn't for some unlucky stuff, we probably should have won all four."
Beckerman and Rimando are expected to play against the Rapids with first place in the Western Conference on the line. But Beltran will have to sit the game out due to a red card suspension.
"It was a great month and very fun to be a part of [the Gold Cup]," said Beltran. "But it was pretty grueling with all the traveling and everything, and I missed my team."
RSL and Colorado will play at 6:30 p.m. Saturday night on ABC-4.
