What is albinism? Only one in 20,000 people people have it, so for many, there are more questions than answers.
Megan Palmer has albinism.
She gets a lot of questions, because as she puts it "I'm not super white."
She made a film to answer any of your questions. She called it Dancing Eyes because, as Megan explains, her eyes dance!
Palmer said, "My eyes move back and forth because of the connection to my eye."
The idea for the film, came from Megan's cousin who lives in Qatar.
Palmer said when her cousin came up with the idea, she was nervous but up for the challenge.
So despite the long distance, together the girls made a movie.
Megan filmed interviews with her Utah friends with albinism and sent the clips to her cousin who edited them together.
Now the girls are up for four awards at an international film festival in Qatar, all for their work to answer questions Megan deals with all the time.
Palmer said, "We are just like anyone else, we don't need to be treated differently."
Megan is trying to get to Qatar so she can be there in person at the awards gala! If you want to help this local girl make her way to Qatar, please link on the donation link attached to this story.
