SOUTH SALT LAKE, UT (ABC 4 Utah)- South Salt Lake Police need your help to find a serial bank robber. They say the man has hit two different banks in the past week. Police believe the man is armed and dangerous and perhaps becoming more brazen with these daytime robberies.

From the images, you can’t see the man’s face very well, but South Salt Lake Police need you to try.

“He's armed and dangerous and we want to get him off the streets,” said South Salt Lake Police’s Gary Keller.

He appears to be a black male, about 6’2 and 180 lbs. This robber from Thursday morning at Zions Bank is wearing the same disguise a robber wore last week at a US Bank robbery.

“We believe it's the same individual, he's wearing the same beanie hat the same translucent Halloween mask,” said Keller.

He changed his shirt and pants, but both are dark colored. Both robberies happened during the day and both robberies were done the same way.

“He goes in the bank, take over style, he had everybody lie on the floor no body was injured or hard, collects money and heads out and runs through the parking lot,” said Keller.
But more than just stealing money, he’s threatening bank staff with a handgun and he’s doing it in broad daylight with plenty of innocent people around.

“There are a lot of people going into the medical buildings and surrounding buildings so another brazen daylight robbery,” said Keller.

Police say the man runs away from the bank toward a getaway car, but they don’t have a description for the vehicle.

South Salt Lake Police want you to call 801-840-4000 with information. Your calls are confidential and you can remain anonymous.
