TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – A mother is pleading for her daughter to come home.

Michaela Kerby is a 17-year-old girl who reportedly left home with a friend on April 30.

Her friend has since returned home because she says their environment wasn’t safe.

ABC 4 Utah’s Noah Bond sat down to talk with Michaela’s mother to ask how she’s holding up.

“I know that she’s struggling inside and I just want her to know that I love her and I want her to come home. I want her to be with me. I want to let her know that things will be OK when she comes home,” said Charlotte.

Charlotte suspects her daughter is in Syracuse or Layton because the girl Michaela ran away with came home from the a Trax station in Layton.

Family and friends organized a Facebook page to help find Michaela. It has 850 likes and contains pictures of the missing girl and well wishes for her safe return.

Christine Holman Black wrote, “Lots of prayers that they find her.”

Dawn Artinger wrote, “I hope they find her safe!”

Michaela’s mother says her heart is broken because she doesn’t know who her daughter is with or what she is doing.

“I just want you to come home. I want you to be with me. I know that we can work things out and that things will be OK,” Charlotte said.

Call you local police department of 911 if you see Michaela Kerby.
