Let yourself be good enough - Striving for perfection is one of the biggest barriers to embracing happiness because it's simply can't be obtained. Accepting a "good enough attitude" paves a way for you to feel successful and happy as a mom.
Celebrate your rockstar moments - You are a rockstar to your kids and have many moments throughout the day where you are a shining star. Take a moment and embrace them! Maybe you just make the best PB&J in the world--give yourself credit for that!
Let go and breathe - Having a never ending list of to-do's can be enough to overwhelm a mother, especially in the first year. Make a list of would like to's and if they don't happen or you don't get to them when you thought you would, let go and breathe. It will be ok.
Today is not forever - When you hit a challenging time, such as your baby not sleeping or having to continually clean up spit up it's easy to think or feel that this is going to be forever. Create the mantra that "today is not forever." Sometimes looking at new born pics is a good reminder just how quickly they change and move through phases!
Reach out, connect and accept help - If you find that you are having more down days than up, reach out for support and connect with others.
