Police say the woman gave him a ride because she had no idea he had just stolen a police car.
The woman was driving through an area near 2550 West 6075 South in Roy.
Graham had just escaped from a hiding place after ditching a stolen police car.
"There were a lot of police cars everywhere in this area and they were all over each block," said Thackeray.
The woman drove Graham 1.5 miles southeast to the area of 1460 North 630 West in Clinton.
Graham knocked on his future mother-in-laws home, but a family member there refused to let him in and eventually called police who eventually arrested Graham in the area.

"I don't normally pick them up but that makes it even easier for me not to," said Concerned Neighbor, Brandy Bush.
"Reestablishes my thoughts about picking up hitch hikers and I wouldn't normally pick up a hitchhiker anyway," Thackeray said.
The elderly woman was not harmed.
