If you are ready for a new shopping experience, something with more meaning across the board, Bijou Market is for you.
Bijou Market is a twice yearly handmade and vintage event with 50 vendors from all over the West. They sell home decor, accessories, clothing, food, jewelry, shoes, and more for anyone on your holiday shopping list. All pieces are handmade with love but we are strict in our screening process so it really is the best of the best. Amazing quality and hip handmade goods.
Thousands come and families and friends make a whole day out of the market, usually coming back a couple times to make sure they didn't miss anything. We always say one try and you're hooked, it's just a beautifully lovely shopping experience and such a refreshing break from the usual crowds and elbowing going on at the mall.
In addition to the 50 vendors, this year we'll have live portraits by Lady Hue and custom hand lettering on the spot by Maypole. We'll also have fresh flowers a la Pike's Place in Seattle and the wildly popular Waffle Love truck will be in and out as well.
We have a raffle throughout that we'll be announcing winners via our social media networks on Facebook , Instagram and Twitter @bijoumarket.
Emily Frame and Rashelle Johansson talk about the background of Bijou Market:
We started this market in 2009 because we wanted to promote our own shops, we added 10 more vendors for a short 2 hour party and we had such a blast we just kept doing it every few months! We are still a little shocked at the response. Now we see thousands of people each day and love when we hear that we're our shoppers favorite handmade market of the year. We're too busy to run our own shops and the market now, but we know what it takes to fill a table full of handmade goods. Our vendors put in hundreds of hours and blood sweat and tears (and a slew of hot glue gun burns) for this event.
