Millcreek Gardens

LaRene Bautner from Millcreek Gardens shows colorful plants in bloom this time of year.
LaRene Bautner from Millcreek Gardens says even though August is about a third of the way over, it's not too late to have a beautiful garden in bloom.

She says right now edibles are blooming.. you can find a full assortment of things like grape vines at Millcreek Gardens. They provide a great screen, and grow up along a fence as well.

Right now you can harvest your spice garden.. parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme are all ready.  LaRene suggests cutting them, putting them in a pie plate and putting them in an oven that's cooling down after baking.  That will make them dry perfectly.

Tomatoes are ripe and ready to eat.. so are peppers and fresh strawberries are perfect this time of year.

If you need a little help keeping your lawn green and weed-free... let Millcreek Gardens help you.  There are several products that will kill the weeds, and allow your grass to grow.

LaRene also suggests flowering shrubs for this time of year.  She says they fill up garden space with beautiful colors.

Millcreek Gardens is located at 3500 South 900 East in Salt Lake City.  (801) 487-4131.  For more information, please visit: Millcreek Gardens.
