"It will be a nice return, and I'm very much looking forward to it," said Johnson, "but when you cross the white line its all business. I'm 100% committed to the Portland Timbers, I love playing for this organization, and none of the emotions I have before the game will effect me going into the game. I want to win as bad as they do."
Johnson was a very popular player when he was here, and everyone in the RSL organization misses him. Well, almost everyone.
"No, I can't stand him," joked head coach Jason Kreis. "No, let's be honest, he was one of my favorites."
"He never gives up," said Nat Borchers. "There's just no quit in that guy, the way he used to run around and make big plays for us, he did a lot for us both offensively and defensively, and he's a good guy off the field."
Kyle Beckerman added "We're all happy for him that he's doing so well, but we wish he was in the Eastern Conference, so we would only have to face him once a year."
And Chris Wingert said, "I'm super psyched for Will, that he's having a great year, but at the same time, we don't want him to do too good when we're in a major competition with them."
The match takes place at 7:30, and can be seen live on CW30.
