Utahns prep for winter weather storm

CENTERVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Residents spent Monday prepping for a winter storm to hit across the state.
CENTERVILLE, Utah (ABC 4 News) – Residents spent Monday prepping for a winter storm to hit across the state.

Snow pounded areas like Morgan and Park City, while rain soaked the Salt Lake Valley.

Davis County officials were on standby for the overnight storm, expected to bring wind gusts between 60 to 80 miles per hour.

People living in Kaysville, Farmington and Centerville said the threat of the approaching storm reminded them of the destruction they saw in December 2011 when hurricane force winds toppled trees, tipped over semi-trucks and damaged homes.

Even though Mother Nature threw the Beehive State a curve ball in Spring, Utahns aren’t surprised.
