Wednesday's Pinpoint Forecast: I'm baaaccckk! More heat, humidity, and scattered thunderstorms today across the state. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s, with the Wasatch Front topping out in the low to mid 90s. Storms will be hit and miss, and could have some very heavy rain with the potential of some flooding, especially over the Great Basin and southern Idaho. Thursday will be hot, muggy, with isolated thunderstorms, and turning windy in the afternoon. Southern gusts could top 25mph, creating dangerous fire conditions. Friday and Saturday will be similar, with heat, humidity, and isolated thunderstorms. Sunday, changes are on the way. A cold front will move across northern Utah, producing slightly lower temperatures but drier air. It's not a fall airmass by any means, but temperatures will cool closer to average for Sunday and the start of next week. That means 70s and 80s up north, and mid 90s for Utah's Dixie.
Have a great Wednesday. The short workweek is halfway over...
