Tuesday's Pinpoint Forecast: Breezy with isolated thunderstorms again across northern Utah, and the central and eastern mountains. The fire danger will remain high, and smoke and haze will fill the sky across the northern part of the state. The Patch Springs Fire west of Tooele is up to 7000 acres, and is producing significant smoke. The air quality is not "poor", but it could affect those sensitive to not the best air quality. Temperatures will be in the 90s for northern Utah and the Wasatch Front, 80s over the higher terrain, and 90s to around 100 for the lower elevations of southern Utah. Over the next few days, the thunderstorms will dry up with the exception of an isolated storm over the Uintas and Tavaputs. It will remain breezy, and with more sunshine, temperatures will inch their way up a degree or two each day. This weekend, thunderstorms will return as a monsoon flow redevelops. Sunday will be the stormier day out of the two. Temperatures will cool with the moisture and cloud cover around.
Have a great Tuesday!
