More heavy thunderstorm activity again today...
Tuesday's Pinpoint Forecast: More monsoon thunderstorms with some heavy rain and flash flooding potential. Northern Utah, especially over the mountains will receive some of the heaviest rain. There is concern for mud slides or debris flows around some of the burn scars from recent fires. It's amazing that the Rockport 5 fire did not see a mudslide with an intense thunderstorm that moved directly over the area. Highs will be in the 80s and 90s again today, but turning significantly cooler where thunderstorms develop. Wednesday, more thunderstorms will pop up in the afternoon. Highs will still be about 5 degrees above average. Late this week, somewhat drier air will move in, and thunderstorms will become more isolated. Saturday will be the drier day this weekend. Sunday and into the beginning of next week, there still is the potential for a tropical low pressure to draw up very heavy rain. It's a ways off, but still we will be following that closely.
Have a great Tuesday!
