Hot and windy today, but a cool down is on the way.
Monday's Pinpoint Forecast: Hot and windy today, with isolated storms over the eastern half of the state. South wind will gust up to 30mph along the Wasatch Front and over the west deserts. Look for more cloud cover developing this afternoon. Tuesday, low pressure and a surge of monsoon moisture will push into southern Utah with mostly cloudy skies down there. Northern Utah will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy. Highs across the state will be in the 80s and 90s. Wednesday will be cooler across the state because of widespread cloud cover, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop as well. Highs will generally be in the 80s, but a few spots will top out around 90. More thunderstorms and precipitation will fall across eastern Utah from the Uinta Basin down to Moab. Isolated storms will stick around eastern Utah on Thursday, but drier, windy weather will move in for the weekend.
