Hot and stormy weekend for some.
Friday's Pinpoint Forecast: HOT with southern thunderstorms through the weekend. Highs will be well up into the 90s for the Wasatch Front and northern Utah, and 80s and 90s for southern Utah. Isolated thunderstorms will develop across the state today, mainly over the central and southern mountains. For the holiday weekend, thunderstorms will be scattered across the central and southern mountains, and the rain could be pretty heavy. If you're headed down there, bring the rain gear. Northern Utah will see a drier push of air for Saturday and Sunday, and there won't be any thunderstorms. It will still be hot will temperatures 5-10 degrees above average. Labor Day, storms will push north through the state in the afternoon and evening, so everyone stands a chance at seeing rain by Monday afternoon.
Have a great Labor Day!
