Man Wanted For Robbery At Gateway Mall

A man is wanted by police for allegedly robbing a store at Salt Lake City's Gateway mall, authorities said Friday.
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A man is wanted by police for allegedly robbing a store at Salt Lake City's Gateway mall, authorities said Friday.

According to the Salt Lake City Police Department, the suspect entered the store just after noon Thursday. He approached the clerk and asked for money from the register. When the clerk opened the register, officials say the man reached over the counter and grabbed some cash before fleeing the store.

Security video in the store captured the suspect on tape. No one was hurt during the robbery and it wasn't immediately clear whether the suspect possessed a weapon.

ROBBERY SUSPECT:
-Caucasian male
-20-25 years old
-Approx. 5'6"
-Approx. 160 lbs.
-Wore black knit cap, blue/black jacket, light blue hooded sweatshirt, black knit pants
