An 18-year-old Utah woman was apparently responsible for a hit and run in North Las Vegas and now police are trying to locate her 1-year-old child.
North Las Vegas, NV (ABC 4 Utah) - An 18-year-old Utah woman was apparently responsible for a hit and run in North Las Vegas and now police are trying to locate her 1-year-old child. According to our affiliate there, Nykueth Tear was driving recklessly and crashed her car into a group of people standing outside a church. Eight people were hit and one man was in critical condition. Police say Tear stopped, got out of car, then got back in and drove away. Officers were able to catch up to her and arrested her. Investigators don't believe she hit the people on purpose but think that drugs may have played a role in the crash. Police have now learned that she has a 1-year-old child and they are trying to locate the child's whereabouts. They don't believe any crime was committed concerning the child at this time.
