The Unified Police Department said Wednesday they also discovered nearly 3,000 pounds of the raw materials to make the drug after executing multiple search warrants throughout Salt Lake County.
Lt. Justin Hoyal says investigators believe illegal chemicals to make the drug were shipped to a UPS store in Taylorsville and then taken to homes in Taylorsville, West Valley, and Cottonwood Heights. He says authorities raided the homes Monday and Tuesday.
Spice is an herbal product sprayed with a synthetic compound that mimics marijuana's effects.
The suspects have been booked into the Salt Lake County jail and they face multiple felony charges.
