On Friday, Carter sat in a doctor's office, anxious and nervous to see his new ears.
ABC4 first reported about Carter Robbins' struggle with bullying and his experience in Utah on Wednesday.
Friday, Carter held a mirror to look at his new ears for the very first time.
Carter's mother Adriene Booth said, "He is still a little swollen, but when the swelling comes down we are going to be pleased with the results. I know Carter is happy."
Carter doesn't say much. He is a very shy little six-year-old but his mother believes this surgery will change his life.
Booth said, "He is not going to be made fun of anymore and he is going to have a lot more confidence."
Salt Lake Doctor Steven Mobley brought Carter to Utah, just for this surgery that he did for free.
Through the Mobley Foundation for Charitable Surgery, Dr. Mobley gives the gift of confidence to little children who unfortunately have lost it.
It's a surgery Carter and his family will forever be grateful for.
