TOOELE, Utah (ABC4 Utah) A gas station in Tooele is dealing with a major mix up today after filling up premium pumps with diesel, and putting premium, where diesel gas should go.
The mix-up made for a busy Monday at Quality Automotive, down the street from the Holiday Oil gas station on
“When I arrived this morning the phones started ringing and they haven't stopped since,” said Mike Neilson, Parts & Service Director at Quality Automotive Group.
That’s where Holiday Oil is sending more than 30 cars affected by the switch. At least 15 were already being fixed Monday, with more coming in throughout the afternoon.
“It’s very bad for the car,” said Neilson.
Keith Bird was one of the customers who ended up with Diesel where it shouldn’t be.

ABC4 spoke with President Mike Wagstaff Monday, he says it took until Saturday afternoon to figure out the switch had occurred, because most of their customers buy regular unleaded.
The affected customers we spoke with have not yet heard back from the company, but Wagstaff says they are doing what is needed to take care of their customers.
“We fuel all of our cars up with that station,” said Neilson. “Very good people. We’ve worked with them for years, and they assured us that every customer would be taken care of and gave us instructions to make sure that happens.”
Wagstaff said that between draining all the pumps, loss of product and fixing customer's cars, Holiday Oil is out about 30-thousand dollars.
