Deputies tried to pull over 33 year old Roy Fritts and 35 year old Jessica Fritts. But a chase began. Once in Utah, the Summit County Sheriff's office and Utah Highway Patrol joined the chase.
Summit County Deputies spiked the vehicle near Echo Junction.
The suspects then fled on foot and attempted to hijack a car in the town of Echo, but the car had a manual transmission, and police say neither suspect knew how to drive with a stick shift.
Jessica Fritts was taken into custody quickly, while deputies say Roy Fritts had a handgun and got into a standoff with deputies. He was taken into custody without incident a short time later.
