Over the week-end police say a black or possibly hispanic man has been holding up three maybe four businesses.
Surveillance captured at a convenience store at 3900 South and 300 East showed the man wears dark clothing, a hoodie and brandishes a weapon.
"He's not afraid to show a gun," says Lt. Justin Hoyal of Unified Police. "In two of our robberies he actually lifted up a shirt and shows a gun around his waistband."
At the convenience store near 300 East the cashier opened the cash register after the suspect asked her to change his dollar bill. He then lifted his shirt and tried to grab money from the cash register.
The clerk put up a struggle but he was able to take some cash before leaving
Police say he also entered a Walmart Saturday night at 4697 South and 900 East. He attempted to rob the clerk but she could not open the cash register.
But police say he did hold up a Del Taco at 3090 South Highland drive and may have been involved in robbing a Wendy's in Murray.
"We just want him off the streets before he starts using the gun," says Lt. Hoyal.
