The 31-year-old Steven Jay Sizemore was sentenced this week after pleading guilty to five felony counts of communications fraud.
Officials say Sizemore began advertising online in 2009 under his name or the name Backwoods Cabinetry. Utah investigators got involved after complaints that Sizemore was taking payments for cabinets but never installed them.
Victims that testified at the sentencing hearing say Sizemore stopped answering calls after they gave him money. At least two families said they were forced to do dishes in their bathtubs because their kitchens weren't finished.
Officials have identified 21 victims. Sizemore is being ordered to pay $117,000 in restitution.
