Chris Huntsman has a “shiner” he’d rather do without.
“Does it hurt right here?” Reporter Brian Carlson asked.
“Yah, it hurts right here,” said Chris Huntsman, TRAX attack victim.
“Where did he hit you?” asked Carlson.
“In this eye,” said Huntsman.
Huntsman is mentally disabled. Tuesday afternoon he was waiting to ride a TRAX train at 3300 S. in South Salt Lake, when he accidentally bumped into a man with a short temper and that man hit Huntsman in the face.
“This is very concerning,” said UTA Spokesperson Gerry Carpenter.
UTA is looking into the attack.
“Safety is our number one priority, the safety of our trains, safety of our riders, we want people to feel safe and secure anytime they ride UTA,” said Carpenter.
Meanwhile, Huntsman’s mother is upset someone would harm her son.
UTA tells ABC 4 they’re looking for the person who attacked Huntsman. He’s described as having be bald headed and having tattoos. If you were near the TRAX station in South Salt Lake around 2:30 – 3:30 p.m. and you know that man, call UTA.
