The state has to lend $60,000 each day to re-open the parks.
Governor Gary H. Herbert spoke with U.S. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell and says they have made a breakthrough.
The states may likely use local agencies to man the entrances and exits of the parks. That would allow patrons to visit the parks on a day use basis.
Camping may not be allowed since there are still no federal workers to maintain interior of the parks.
The park could be re-opened as early as this weekend. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
