ABC 4 News has learned yet another DABC audit is now underway, one said to include additional damaging information.
This audit is being done by Utah's Auditor General, as were several earlier ones.
But ABC 4 is now being told this audit, potentially, may be even worse than the others.
This new audit, reportedly, zeroes in on inventory issues.
Specifically, it’s believed the audit is looking at the following areas:
- The inventory at the DABC’s enormous Salt Lake warehouse.
- The inventory at the DABC's public stores
- And the inventory at the DABC's special club store (This is where bars purchase their alcohol).
Questions about the DABC’S inventory first surfaced a year ago when the Auditor General found problems at its Eden package agency.
But now, ABC 4 is told, more widespread concerns have surfaced and that "missing products" may be one issue the auditor is looking at.
According to several sources, this new audit will (again) not paint the DABC and its previous business practices in the best light.
One person even went so far as to suggest this may be the worst DABC audit yet.
Now, we're also being told the audit is still in its early stages and it may not be released publicly for several more months.
