ANTELOPE ISLAND STATE PARK, Utah (ABC 4 News)- One man who lied about his identity to police took the Davis County Sheriffs agency on a high speed chase overnight. The chase stated when police were called to check out a vehicle which was stuck in the sand just before 2:30am. Responding officers asked the men for identification that they determined was false.
The sergeant confronted the men, one ran to a nearby car and took police for quite a ride. The chase went all over the island eventually heading back toward the causeway but when the cars came to a curve near the marina, the suspects car flipped over. The suspect then jumped out and ran away on foot.
The Sheriffs office called in the search dogs, located and took the man into custody. The Davis County Sheriffs office later identified the man as Daniel Sposito and Sean Phillips. Mr. Sposito thought he had warrants out for his arrest he did not.
