CEDAR CITY (ABC 4 News) - Authorities are looking for an older man who robbed a Mountain America Credit Union Tuesday afternoon, and triggered the lockdown of a nearby school, officials said.

The bandit entered the credit union -- located near 1700 West Royal Hunte Drive in Cedar City -- at approximately 1:30 p.m., approached a teller and passed a note which demanded cash. After receiving a small amount, the man walked out.

Police ordered the lockdown of Cedar Middle School, which is in close proximity to the credit union.

The suspect, according to authorities, is an older man -- possibly in his 50s -- with gray hair. He wore a green baseball cap, a green shirt and faded blue jeans. He was also wearing a green coat with a tan collar.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Cedar City Police Department at (435) 586-2956.
