According to officials of the Utah Highway Patrol, a white 2000 Nissan Maxima was southbound on I-15 near mile post 154 when the car left the roadway gradually to the left. The driver then over-corrected to the right and left the roadway to the right, ultimately rolling when it was off the shoulder of the road perpendicular to the roadway.
Reports say the driver was not restrained and was ejected. She suffered from head and chest trauma and died on scene.
The driver has been identified as Monica Irma Byrd of Sacramento, California.
