"Totally excited still doesn't feel real yet," said Laura Lee Sheehan, burn victim.
Sheehan is burn victim patient from Montana being treated at Universtiy Hospital in Salt Lake City, and she just happens to be a huge George Strait fan.
"Almost as far back as I can remember he's always been my favorite and I've always wanted to see him in concert, but he never comes close enough to where I'm at," said Sheehan.
Last September a propane tank exploded at Sheehan's home burning over 70% of her body and breaking 34 bones.
"17 broken ribs, broken pelvis in 3 places, shattered right leg, broken left ankle, punchered lung," she said.
Friends, family and nurses realized Sheehan would be in Salt Lake when George Strait came to town, and they pushed to make the two of them meet.
"Then a nurse here started going up the chain and got a hold of his manager," said Sheehan.
Sheehan's story got plastered on country websites. She got word Strait agreed to see her.
So Friday night before Strait took the stage, the two finally met.
You might be wondering where are the photos? Where's the proof? ABC 4 is told George Strait's people wouldn't allow Sheehan to use her camera. They took the photos for her and told Sheehan they will email them to her Saturday.
