We are getting very little information Monday night about the woman's condition. Authorities have yet to release her name, but say when she was conscious when airlifted.
If you planned an evening hike up Farmington Canyon, you would've been met by emergency vehicles. This is a popular place for people to hike and drive up. There's even Farmington Pond where people fish and swim. But that doesn't mean this well traveled canyon doesn't pose threats like rough terrain that got a Ford F 250 stuck. Somehow the passenger got out of the truck and it rolled on top of her. That woman ended up in a helicopter, life flighted to McKay Dee Hospital. Because of medical privacy laws, we are unaware of her condition. Unfortunately accidents like this have happened several times in the past fee months here.
The terrain and heat slowed down emergency personnel from finding this woman in what they're calling a remote area. The sheriffs dispatch says the woman was conscious, breathing, alert and complaining about back and hip pain when emergency personnel arrived. Again, authorities haven't released the woman's name. As soon as we know that and more about her condition we will update you.
