After four years of construction, the Utah Transit Authority's TRAX line to the airport took its first passengers to Salt Lake International Sunday.
“I think it's a fantastic improvement the fact that we don't have to commute out, get somebody to give us a ride, it's wonderful,” said Jeff Johnson, a Murray resident taking the TRAX home from the airport.
The six-mile airport TRAX line connects the existing Arena Station at 400 West South Temple to North Temple and the Salt Lake airport.
It'll get passengers from downtown to the airport in 20 minutes.
The stops include five stations along North Temple and one station at the airport. The stations will be located at the following approximate addresses:
◦500 West Station
◦800 West Station
◦1100 West, located near the Utah State Fairgrounds
◦1500 West Station
◦1950 West Station
◦Airport Station, located just east of Terminal One
Airport TRAX hours:
5:30 AM-11:30 PM weekdays
6:30 AM-11:30 PM Saturdays
