SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A sweet ending for a troop of girl scouts after their cookie money was stolen. Monday a local radio station replaced some of the cash and that is just the beginning of the love for Troop 2532.

It was in front of the Taylorsville WalMart a man stole girl scout cookie cash from troop 2532.

Girl Scout Rae Steinke was working the table as it was happening, she told ABC4 News, "It was terrifying, you didn't know what was going to happen."

The man came up to the girls looking like he wanted to buy a box of cookies, instead he took all the money the girls had earned during the day.

Troop 2532 Leader Jeanette Williams said, "I can't imagine that someone would just walk up and did that."

Monday, a sweet surprise for the Girl Scouts.

John Watkins from 101.5 The Eagle told the girls Monday morning live on his show, "We talked to our bosses and we decided to help out a little bit and give you $200 as a donation."

Then the radio station opened up their phone lines, asking for more donations.

It was huge for the girls.

Williams said, "It is overwhelming for me and the girls. We are so appreciative that everyone wants to help us out."

The Girl Scouts of Utah said if you want to help, just go and buy a box of cookies, from any troop. All of the proceeds from each box go directly to help every girl scout in the state of Utah.

The Mayor of Taylorsville has invited Troop 2532 to sell their cookies this Saturday (March 23) at the Taylorsville City Hall.

Girl Scout Cookies are on sale until March 24.
