HEBER CITY, Utah (ABC4, Utah)- Police say a McDonald's employee took part in a fake robbery Sunday.

Patricia Johnson, manager of the 600 South Main Street restaurant in Heber City, allegedly called the Wasatch County Dispatch Center claiming she was robbed. Johnson said an unarmed man on foot approached her while she walking to her car from the restaurant to make a bank deposit.

Upon further investigation by Heber City police and officers from the State Parks, Summit County, and Wasatch Sheriff’s offices, officials say Johnson planned the whole thing. The manager worked with three accomplices to stage the robbery and take the $4,000 deposit. Almost all of the money has been recovered.

Johnson, along with Marty Marrott, Peggy Rohrbach, and Jaime Allred, have been arrested for theft and booked into the Wasatch County Jail.

Police say tips given by residents who are registered with the Heber City and Wasatch County’s Emergency Notification System helped the case to be solved more quickly.
