SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah (ABC 4 Utah) - Police need your help in catching an armed robber after multiple businesses in Taylorsville and Millcreek were hit up in the last two weeks.
The Unified Police Department says in each of the four businesses the armed robber walks into the store asks the clerk for change, puts his hand in his jacket threatening to have a gun, demands money and takes off on foot.

“He’s been hitting a couple of Walgreens and gas stations and each time he’s just looking for cash and he’s been in and out very quickly,” said Lt. Justin Hoyal with the Unified Police Department.

Unified Police say the first one happened on October 5th at a 7-Eleven on 5400 South and 3200 West just before midnight. The second, just two days later on October 7th at Walgreens on Redwood Road and 4700 south around 8:30 at night. The third, October 12th at another Walgreens, this time at 3300 South and Highland Drive just after 6 p.m. The most recent robbery was Tuesday October 15th at Conoco at 2200 West and 4700 South shortly before 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

“Each time this suspect has gone into each of these businesses he’s worn the same clothing and this suspect is described as a Hispanic male about 50 to 60 years old, 5'6" and a thin build,” said Lt. Hoyal.

Unified Police told ABC 4 Utah each time the robber went into the stores the front clerk complied and nobody was hurt, but still people like Terri Dix are worried.

“It concerns me because I work right here in the neighborhood Monday through Friday and over the years I’ve seen it get progressively worse. My home was robbed, its kind of everywhere,” said Dix.

That’s why police need the publics help in catching this man and putting his serial robberies to an end.

"We want to get him off the streets before somebody does get hurt,” said Lt. Hoyal.

According to Police the armed robber is facing aggravated robbery charges. They also told ABC 4 Utah even though the suspect never showed he had a hand gun, he still threatened the clerks and is considered armed and dangerous.

If anyone has seen him or has information on these crimes you are asked to contact the Unified Police Department at 801.743.7000
