For Sub Zero, it is all about nitrogen.
Sub Zero creator Jerry Hancock said, "Nitrogen comes from the atmosphere, so it's just a colder version of the air we breathe."
To make your ice cream, it is a very easy process.
Pick out a base, add your flavors and mix-ins and then comes the Nitrogen! Within seconds you have ice cream.
Hancock explained, "This is absolutely the freshest ice cream you've ever had."
Hancock came up with this whole idea. He did study chemistry in college, so he knows what he is doing, but Sub Zero was a creation he sorta stumbled upon. The ideas started churning after he got a good warning from another person in the ice cream business.
Hancock said, "He told me, 'Don't go into the ice cream business unless you have something different."
So he found something different.
Hancock said, "We take science and cream and mix it."
A crazy, but delicious idea from a Utah county man who has taken science and mixed in some ice cream to develop a successful ice cream shop with stores all across the country.
