"What's actually going on is the flies coming in are getting into a hibernated state, getting ready for December," Lipsey said. "Then we get these warmer days like today and all of a sudden they just pop up."
Vernon says this time of year house flies can be super annoying because bugs on the outside start making their way inside in search of food and shelter.
"Our homes are great places for food and shelter," said Lipsey. "They get behind those baseboards, they stay there and we can barely see them. They can come and go as they want. Baseboards inside of a house is basically the internet for insects. It's their superhighway."
And house flies aren't the only insect problem the change in season brings.
"Right now we're having a lot of issues with hobo spiders coming from the outside and getting into the inside and underneath your couch," Lipsey said.
